Silver Health Properties and Uses
Silver has long been known for its health giving properties.
The phrase "born with a silver spoon in his mouth" refers not to wealth, but to the fact that babies fed using silver spoons in the 1800's were healthier than those who were fed with spoons made from other metals.
In earlier history sailors on long ocean voyages would put silver coins in barrels of water and wine to keep the liquid pure. Pioneers in the wild west days of America used to do the same thing as they made the journey from coast to coast.
Today silver is used in water-purification because silver ions are such a powerful bactericide. Silver is now used in half of industrial and domestic water sanitation systems.
Silver in the form of silver sulfadiazine is used in modern burns treatments. The silver compound kills bacteria and allows the body to help heal the burn naturally. In the medical world, silver is becoming more and more used in the fight against disease.
We're not saying that wearing silver jewellery from i-shock will cure you of all ills, but its certainly good to know that silver has been such a kind metal to us humans isn't it!
